I signed up for Facebook about 4 months ago as I have read that Facebook marketing is a great way to make money from your websites, but I don't see how it works. How do I market on Facebook without spamming my so-called friends?

Facebook Ads are what im assuming your talking about. Facebook Ads can be generate by a user and are usually posted on the side of facebook where the normally annoying ads are.

No I don't think he's referring to facebook ads (and if anyone's going to try it I'd suggest not to, the conversions are terrible)

Hi I know little more about it, as mention above by other one, but me more interesting to talk about its social & get to gathering effects than its commercial purpose. As for as commercial purplish is concerned it will earn a lot by advertisement & adds.

Also, you can make your own account on Facebook, and post your slogan or the pictures of your products, then tag people to see them.
Besides, you can create a group, which allow people join and discuss stuff.
By those ways, you can do your e-marketing

Facebook either has a very low inventory of ads and that's why they cycle through the limited number of available but irrelevant ads or the ad targeting model is fundamentally flawed. In either case, I seriously doubt that advertising on Facebook is any more effective than other advertising options like paid search or contextual ads on traditional sites.
